<p>The invention relates to a safety device designed especially for use during the installation of an elevator. The safety device comprises an overspeed governor (3) monitoring the speed of a working platform (1) used for installation work and a safety gear (5) connected to the overspeed governor by a rope (4) and designed to stop the working platform.
