A locking device comprises a locking part (2) containing a moving element, and a receiving part (1). The locking part is fixed to the housing and the receiver part to the lid or vice versa. The moving element interacts with the receiver part. A motor (17) is assigned to the locking part to drive the element. The moving element is a threaded spindle (4). The receiver part has a threaded bore (3) which interacts with the threaded spindle. Preferred Features: The locking state of the device can be adjusted by the screw depth of the threaded spindle within the threaded bore. The motor is electrically insulated within the locking part.
