A device and a method for directing action to an object. The device comprises in the same device at least one tool (21) for directing milling to an object (1), at least one tool (22) for grinding the object after milling and at least one tool (23) for polishing the object after grinding, and means (30) for bringing the desired tool to working turn, and further the device comprises means (40, 40a, 41, 41a, 42, 42a, 55, 60, 65) for providing reciprocal movement between the tool brought to working turn and the object. The device further comprises a holding arrangement (10) for holding the object in its place, and a liquid supply system liquefying the encounter area of the tool and the object, comprising a liquid supply arrangement (160) of its own for polishing, separate from the liquid supplies of the milling and grinding.
