PURPOSE: A wireless mouse having a power saving function is provided to save the power consumption when the coordinates data is not generated from the mouse in order to lengthen the lifetime of a battery used for the power of the wireless mouse. CONSTITUTION: An X and a Y-axis coordinates generator(40,42) respectively generate the X and the Y-axis coordinates data. A scroll signal generator(44) generates the screen scroll data. A left switch(30), a right switch(32), and a wheel switch(34) make a user select the coordinates on the X-Y coordinates. A sensor(36) detects a movement state of the mouse. A controller(10) generates and outputs the X-Y coordinates data, outputs the data corresponding to the movement of the switches(30,32,34), and prevents the power consumption by controlling the power of a power supply after confirming the mouse use through the sensor(36) and the switches(30,32,34). A reset signal generator(20) generates the signal for resetting the controller(10) if the signal is occurred from the sensor(36) and the switches(30,32,34). A wireless output part(25) converts the data outputted from the controller(10) into a wireless signal, and transfers it to a wireless mouse port. |
