PROTECTIVE CONTAINER

摘要

The inventive protective container can be used for transporting radioactive waste in various sectors of national economy. Said container is embodied in the form of a vertical cylindrical bucket having a double housing and comprises a lid which is provided with a bayonet lock. A polymer composite of polystyrene with filler in the form of the mixture of highly dispersed iron minium with tungsten powder and silicate mass is used as an internal protective layer. Said mixture has the following component ratio: 8-10 mass % of tungsten powder, 1.5-3.0 mass % of dispersed iron minium, silicate mass being the rest. The external layer of the housing is made of polyethylene.
