PURPOSE: A method for processing an end part of a knob shaft and a mold used for the same are provided to improve working efficiency and to remarkably reduce processing time by forming the end part of the knob shaft through one extruding work. CONSTITUTION: A wire stuff wound around a roll is intermittently conveyed along a length direction of the wire stuff. Then, the wire stuff is cut by means of a knife(34) of a cutting section. The cutting wire stuff is maintained in a griping section(35). Then, a position of the cutting wire stuff is changed in such a manner that the cutting wire stuff is positioned at a central line of a die(36). Then, a first punch(37) installed on the die(36) is forwardly moved into a first mold(39) formed on the die(36), thereby forming a hole and a cutting slot at an end of the wire stuff. After returning the first punch to its initial position, the wire stuff is removed from the die(36).
