<p>A method for forming a composite hard coat layer which comprises applying a hard coat material composition containing an active energy ray curable compound on the surface of an article (1) to be provided with a hard coat layer, to form a hard coat material composition layer, applying, on the hard coat material composition layer, a surface layer material containing an active energy ray curable compound having anti-stain function and/or lubricating functions, to form a surface material layer, and irradiating the resultant hard coat material composition layer and surface material layer with an active energy ray, to cure both the layers simultaneously, thereby forming a hard coat layer (2) being present on the surface of the article (1) and an anti-stain surface layer (3) being present on the hard coat layer (2). The method allows the production of an article having a hard coat layer excellent in stain resistance, lubricity, marring resistance and abrasion resistance, at a reduced cost.</p> |
