A blower (32) operated airknife (11) having an elongated primary air discharge orifice (31) directs a curtain of air. The airknife includes a shroud (35) which defines auxiliary discharge orifices (40) on opposite sides of the primary orifice (31) from which air is drawn through by venturi effect. The shroud may take alternative forms. The airknife is adapted to additionally discharge atomized liquid (80).
