FIELD: manufacture of building materials. SUBSTANCE: bitumen additive, used for production of binding materials useful in road and aerodrome building, in water engineering, and in various underground constructions, comprises 97.5-99.9% of solid combustion mineral pyrolysis product and/or oil slime and 0.1-2.5% of hexamethylenetetramine. Pyrolysis product contains phenols and alkylphenols, neutral oils, and mineral admixtures in amounts 4.5-50, 49-95, and 0.1-1.0%, respectively. Additive is prepared by mixing above- indicated components at temperature below 100 C and atmospheric pressure with stirring until homogenous mass is obtained. Additive is characterized by good adhesion to basic and acidic mineral materials and biocyde properties.
