PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductive roller having such excellent durability that its characteristic does not change even though it is used for a long time in the case of being used for an electrophotographic device such as a copying machine and an LBP.

SOLUTION: This conductive roller obtained by forming a conductive elastic body layer on the outer peripheral surface of a shaft center body (core bar) is constituted to have no surface layer by using an elastic body whose resistance at a part near to the core bar of the conductive elastic body layer is high and whose resistance gets lower and lower toward the outside of the conductive elastic body layer.
