<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the reproduction of density in an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus is characterized in having a read means which transfers an image pattern formed on an image carrier by an image forming part to a recording medium and reads the transferred image pattern, a decision means which decides the image forming condition of the image forming part according to the read image signal, a light detection means which detects light in accordance with a patch pattern formed by the image forming part on the image carrier in course of an ordinary image forming sequence and a correction means which corrects the image forming condition by using the result detected by the light detection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
