<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-lived mechanical pipe joint for piping, capable of being used for a general stainless steel pipe, having a simple structure, and being connected by an ordinary tool such as a wrench without a special tool. <P>SOLUTION: A stainless steel pipe is inserted in a nipple of a stainless pipe joint with a stainless ferrule fitted around the periphery of the stainless steel pipe. The stainless steel pipe is integrated with the nipple by screwing a stainless nut with the outside of the nipple. The stainless ferrule is deformed by pressing with the stainless nut, thereby sealing feeding/draining water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
