PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a multi-gradation image of high picture quality by a liquid crystal driving device which drives a simple matrix type liquid crystal display panel while suppressing the power consumption and preventing a flicker. SOLUTION: One display period wherein respective pixels are displayed is divided into a plurality of frames, e.g. frame 0 to frame 3, and while PWM display is made with one divided frame frame 3, binary display by the frames is made with other frames frame 0 to frame 2 to make gradation display on the whole with the plurality of frame 0 to frame 3 constituting the one display period.
