PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cleaner for an additive for a fuel oil, reducing the occurrence of intake valve sticking when starting an automobile at a low temperature when added to the fuel oil for the automobile. SOLUTION: The additive for the fuel oil comprises an aliphatic amine having an alkylene oxide added thereto in an amount of 3-20 mol per mol of the aliphatic amine [ether group-containing hydroxyalkyl- (or alkenyl-)amine].
