PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust device for a V-type four-cylinder internal combustion engine having an equal conduit length of each exhaust pipe up to a joining part and allowing a simple handling of each exhaust pipe. SOLUTION: In this exhaust device, a spherical exhaust valve 20 is rotatably interposed in an exhaust passage of the V-type four-cylinder internal combustion engine and the spherical exhaust valve 20 is rotated by an electromagnetic or hydraulic driving means 30 disposed between both banks BF and BR to open/ close the exhaust passage. An exhaust port 11 is provided on each of both side walls at the crank axial direction outside of a cylinder head 3 of each of the banks BF and BR. Exhaust communicating pipes 15 and 16 are communicated with the two exhaust ports 11 and 11 provided on both the side walls on the same side. By making the center part of the exhaust communicating pipes 15 and 16 as the joining part, the exhaust pipes 17 and 18 are extended. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
