<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that an overlapping deviation occurs due to the rotating angle error of toothed endless belts in the circumferential direction, in the case of using the toothed endless belts for a driving mechanism for the purpose of banding prevention, as for a multi-developing color image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: N pieces of toothed endless belts are used for a driving mechanism for a photoreceptor drum (N is positive integer ≥2), and the belts are separately stretched while shifting the belts from the same position in the circumferential direction by the amount of one cycle/N so that the rotating angle error in the circumferential direction of the toothed endless belts may be cancelled by the cycle of the belt circumferential length. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
