PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate processing by lightening the load of speech recognition processing and to improve speech recognition precision.

SOLUTION: A communication device (100) which is equipped with a speech recognition means (102) for recognition an inputted speech and can be controlled according to the output of the speech recognition means (102) comprises a storage means (104) for storing a plurality of kinds of dictionaries for speech recognition and a selecting means (103) for selecting a dictionary for speech recognition corresponding to the operation mode of the communication device (100) from the storage means (104) and supplies the selected dictionary to the speech recognition means (102).
