PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce display unevenness of a liquid crystal display element. SOLUTION: A driving method for the electrooptic element includes a step for applying a scanning signal of voltage specified by using elements in columns selected in order among a plurality of columns of a matrix to a specified number of scanning electrodes at the same time and a step for applying a scanning signal of voltage specified by using elements in columns selected reversely to the mentioned order among the plurality of columns to the specified number of scanning electrodes at the same time.
