OPERATING METHOD FOR STORAGE CHAMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage chamber operating method capable of suppressing deterioration of the stored objects by lessening the temperature difference in the chamber while the operation is made in the energy saving mode. SOLUTION: A control device 34 makes ON-OFF control of a compressor 14 in accordance with the temperature sensed by an intra-chamber thermometer 20. The operation of a refrigerator 18 is changed over between the normal operation mode in which an intra-chamber fan 24 is operated continuously irrespective of the operation of the compressor 14 and the energy saving mode in which the fan 24 is operated intermittently when the compressor 14 is stopped. Two limit temperature values are set at different levels, i.e., the first upper limit value for the compressor 14 to operate in the normal operation mode and the second upper limit value for the compressor 14 to operate in the energy saving mode. When the operation mode is changed over, the control device 34 changes over automatically the upper limit value for operating the compressor 14 to the first or the second upper limit value corresponding to the selected operation mode.
