PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work machine and a work machine boom of a construction machine capable of reducing a weight of a counterweight to reduce a weight of the construction machine and keeping the same strength as a conventional construction machine so as to provide a manufacturing method for the work machine boom of the construction machine capable of simply manufacturing the work machine boom being light in weight and having high rigidity. SOLUTION: A first partition plate 30 and a second partition plate 31 are arranged on a tip side of the boom and on a basic end side of the boom, respectively, so as to cross the inside of the boom so that they are surrounded by an upper face plate 19, a lower face plate 20, and a pair of side plates 18a, 18b. A longitudinal partition plate 33 is arranged between the first partition plate 31 and the second partition plate 32 so that it is nipped by the upper and lower face plates 19, 20. A group 22 of partition plates is formed into substantially H shape when viewed in a plane by the first and second partition plates 31, 32 and the longitudinal partition plate 33, and the group 22 of the partition plates is arranged in a welding possible scope from a mounting section of a mounting boss 24 of a cylinder 23 for tilting the boom centered on the mounting boss 24 of the cylinder 23 for tilting the boom in a boom central part 21.
