PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem inherent in conventional techniques and to provide a display medium capable of producing a more clear display and a display device and a display body utilizing the same. SOLUTION: With respect to the display medium consisting of a display cell and a display composition incorporated into the display cell, the display cell is formed by placing a substrate 1 with an electrode 2 on one side surface thereof and with a vertical aligning liquid crystal alignment layer 3 formed on the electrode surface and a transparent substrate 4 with a transparent electrode 5 on one side surface thereof and with a parallel aligning liquid crystal alignment layer 6 formed on the electrode surface opposite to each other so as to make their alignment layer surfaces 3, 6 confront each other. The display composition is constructed with a p-type liquid crystalline composition 8, a p-type dichroic dye 9 and electrophoretic particles 7 with a color tone different from that of the dichroic dye 9.
