NUCLEAR FUEL ASSEMBLY LOWER TIE-PLATE AND ITS ASSEMBLING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lower tie-plate superior in capturing capability of straight and long foreign articles. SOLUTION: The lower tie-plate has a network part 7 holding the lower part of fuel rods so that fuel rods 2 are arranged in grid with intervals to each other, a nozzle part 8 extending downward from the periphery of the network part and forming a lower tie-plate space 9 below the network part and having an inlet opening 10 at the bottom, a partition plate 30 arranged nearly horizontally below the network part in the lower tie-plate space and separating the lower tie-plate space up and down, and a plurality of cylindrical filters 32 attached on the partition plate and having openings below and above the partition plate. The upper end 33 of the cylindrical filter is closed and the side of the cylindrical filter is provided with the opening part 36 above the partition plate. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
