PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for adjusting a reference position of a potentiometer without requiring experience for a fitting work within a time shorter than before, related to a reference position adjusting device of a potentiometer which supports fitting of a potentiometer to a spindle so that an output voltage matches with precision with a prescribed reference position that a controller recognizes. SOLUTION: A reference position reporting means reports that the output voltage value of the potentiometer matches within a prescribed tolerable range with a voltage value corresponding to a reference position of a rotational part which is stored in a controller. An adjustment control means recognizes the output voltage value of the potentiometer as a voltage value corresponding to the reference position of the rotational part, if the difference between the output voltage value of the potentiometer and the voltage value corresponding to the reference position of the rotational part which is stored in the controller is within a prescribed range at a prescribed storing operation.
