PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for refining metallic salt with which molten salt maybe becoming contaminated source in a producing process is simply and efficiently refined, to provide method for deoxidizing a titanium material and a method for producing the titanium material by using the refined metallic salt with this refining method. SOLUTION: Impurities in the metallic salt are absorbed and refined by contacting the molten metallic salt composed of alkali metal salt, alkaline earth metal salt or mixture thereof with one or more kinds among titanium, a titanium alloy, zirconium and a zirconium alloy. Further, the deoxidation and the production of the titanium material, are performed by using this molten metallic salt. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
