摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an olefin polymerization catalyst for manufacturing, at a high polymerization activity, a polyolefin that has little amount of decane- soluble components and excellent stereoregularity, and to provide a method for polymerizing an olefin using this olefin polymerization catalyst. SOLUTION: The olefin polymerization catalyst comprises (A) a solid titanium catalyst ingredient containing magnesium, titanium, a halogen and a polyether, (B) an organoaluminum compound, and (C) a monoalkoxysilane compound represented by R<SP>a</SP><SB>3</SB>Si(OR<SP>b</SP>) (wherein R<SP>a</SP>is an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group or an aralkyl group; and OR<SP>b</SP>is a methoxy group or an ethoxy group). An olefin may be prepolymerized with an olefin polymerization catalyst comprising the catalyst ingredient (A), (B) and optionally, (D) an electron donor. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
