PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a trouble-free heat sensitive recording material on manufacturing by improving the coating properties of a protective layer coating liquid to be applied on a heat sensitive color developing layer.

SOLUTION: In this heat sensitive recording material, the coating liquid for a protective layer includes a polyether-modified silicone and acetyleneglycols and is applied onto the heat sensitive color developing layer.
