<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in a conventional hydrogen generating unit that fully stable characteristics cannot be obtained as fluctuation occurs in the steam flow rate or temperatures of individual sections because only water is supplied in the case of vaporizing water using heat from CO conversion section or CO purification section. <P>SOLUTION: This hydrogen generating unit is provided with a reforming section 1 for generating reformed gas comprising hydrogen by reacting a raw material composed of at least carbon and hydrogen atoms with water, a CO conversion section 5 locating downstream side of the reforming section, and a CO purification section 7 locating further downstream thereof. Water vaporizing sections 11a and 11b are equipped to the CO conversion section 5 and/or the CO purification section 7. Water and gas are fed to the water vaporizing sections 11a and 11b by a water feed section 10 and a gas feed section 12, respectively, and the generated steam is fed to the CO conversion section 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
