<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a plastic lens having an antireflection film excellent in the adhesion property with a cured coating film and excellent in the wear resistance and to provide the plastic lens having the antireflection film. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a plastic lens having an antireflection film is carried out by applying a liquid film of water or an aqueous solution on the surface of a cured coating film of a plastic lens having the cured coating film containing an organic silicon compound, bringing ozone gas into contact with the liquid film to treat the surface of the cured coating film with the ozone gas, and then forming the antireflection film by vapor deposition on the surface of the cured coating film.
