PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for treating an antipersonal land mine capable of reducing a risk for work and facilitating handling and repair, without using an advanced equipment and a technician, and capable of coping with by people in the site, and to increase thereby a treated amount as total by cooperation of a large number of people to contribute to reduction of damage. SOLUTION: A long, rodlike and laterally laid member 2 of which the intermediate part is supported from its lower side by a support portion 7, movable vertically in both side parts of the portion 7 by assembling a rotatable mechanism in the portion 7 is arranged in an upper part of a frame 4 connected with a plurality of wheels 5, a ground surface striking member 3 used for striking a ground surface is connected to one end part of the member 2, the other end part is moved vertically by a worker or the like to strike the ground surface by the striking member 3, and the antipersonel land mine 11 set in the vicinity of the ground surface is thereby struck from its upper side to be surveyed and explosion-treated. In addition, a substantially sheet like protection member 6 is connection-fixed to the frame 4 as a safety measure for protecting the worker from scattered pieces in the explosion of the mine 11.
