PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide combustion equipment which electrically indicates the feed amount of fuel fed from a fuel tank when fuel is fed by dismounting the fuel tank from a combustor body and controls the burning operation thereof by the combustor body according to the residual amount of fuel in the fuel tank when the fuel tank is installed in the combustor body, in the combustion equipment such as a petroleum fan heater allowing the fuel tank for fuel storage to be detachably installed thereon. SOLUTION: The fuel tank 3 comprises a capacitor charged by a power supply device mounted on the body 1 of the combustion equipment and a light transmitter 6 formed of an LED lit in response to detection signals from a level detector 4 operated using the capacitor as a power supply. The combustor body 1 comprises a light receiver 7 for receiving light from the light transmitter 6 when the fuel tank 3 is installed on the body 1 of the combustion equipment and a control means for controlling the operation of the combustion equipment in response to output signals from the light receiver 7.
