PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reforming method for an opening with excellent appearance quality allowing a new frame to be positively mounted into the opening by easily performing new frame mounting work in a short period of time without removing an existing frame in reforming the opening formed in a wall. SOLUTION: A new depth frame 8 is mounted to a depth part of the existing frame 3 mounted into the opening 2, so as to project from the depth part in an orthogonal direction to the wall 1. A parting member 12 of an L-shaped cross section is mounted to an aspect part of the opening part 2 so as to fix one piece part 12a and to abut on the edge part 5b of the existing frame 3. A new aspect frame 16 is mounted to an aspect part of the existing frame 3 so that one edge part 18a is engaged with the new depth frame 8 and that the other edge part 17b abuts on the other piece part 12b of the parting member 12.
