PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stop device for a door closer that can facilitate an assembly process by reducing the number of parts in comparison with conventional constitution and to obtain a stable click sensation. SOLUTION: This stop device for the door closer is provided with an operating member manually operated into a prescribed operation completion position to maintain an engaged state after engaging serrations by moving a fixed member in the rotation axis direction of both door closer parts, and an abutting member which abuts on the operating member when the operating member is operated. An elastic part elastically deformed by abutting on the abutting member when the operating member is operated into the operation completion position, is integrally formed at the operating member by molding or machining. The elastic part changes the degree of the elastic deformation when the operating member reaches the operation completion position so that the arrival of the operating member into the operation completion position is recognized by an operator.
