An optical disc apparatus is designed so that a label face of a CD 1 can be seen from the outside. Then, a light-emitting unit 7 irradiates a light to the label face 1-a of the rotating CD 1 for each period which is longer or shorter than a period that the CD1 rotates once. Therefore, it is possible to check characters, an illustration, or a pattern or the like printed on the label face 1-a of the CD 1 and further, it is possible to visually identify that the CD 1 is rotating. <IMAGE> |
