<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reforming apparatus having a catalyst part (12) for converting raw material gas containing hydrocarbons into reformed gas containing hydrogen, which can stably produce the reformed gas even at the starting time. <P>SOLUTION: This reforming apparatus is provided with a first path (21) for feeding raw material gas to the catalyst part (12), a second path for discharging the reformed gas generated in the catalyst part (12), an autothermal exchanger (25) for exchanging heat of raw material gas passing through the first path (21) with heat of the reformed gas passing through the second path (22), and further a heater (33) for preheating the catalyst part (12) at the starting time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
