ROUTE TRANSMISSION METHOD, CENTER AND ROUTE GUIDE APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route guide apparatus by which a route up to a destination from a point separated by a prescribed distance from a present position of a vehicle is searched again even with reference to an already searched search route, and which surely provides the again searched route to a driver. SOLUTION: A navigation system 30 transmits present-position information on the vehicle, destination information and update-route connecting-link information to the center 10 when the vehicle passes a route-update-request point on the search route searched by the center 10. The center 10 transmits the respective pieces of information. A route search processing part 13 at the center 10 uses the respective pieces of received information and traffic information on a traffic information database 20 updated and stored at a prescribed frequency, and it searches the rotate up to the destination from a termination point in an update-route connecting link. The processing part 13 compares the re-searched search route with the search route, and it extracts a route in a different part.
