PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a notch type temple opening/closing mechanism for eyeglasses with excellent handleability, capable of hinge-connecting a temple without using a fixing screw and suppressing the play of the temple. SOLUTION: A pair of a piece component 1 and an opposite piece component 2 capable of being inserted to each other are respectively disposed at a take-out side projected end part of an end piece E and a base end part of the temple T, a plurality of notches 11 are provided on the outer edge of the piece component 1 and a presser 3 for locally pressurizing the outer edge of the piece component 1 is attached to an eyeglass parts side where the opposite piece component 2 is disposed. For the piece component 1 rolled at the time of temple opening/ closing movements, a technical means of such constitution that the spread open angle of the temple can be determined stepwise by engaging the presser 3 with the notch 11 at an outer edge required position is adopted.
