PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a variable valve timing mechanism of an engine simple and to improve its productivity, workability and maintainability. SOLUTION: An oil delivery adapter 30 is connected to an outer periphery of a camshaft 12, an oil passage extending to a phase adjusting actuator 40 from the oil delivery adapter 30 is formed inside of the camshaft 12 and an oil supply line 23 connected to an oil supply part 22 is connected to the oil delivery adapter 30 from outside on a valve timing control device 100.
