PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate position locking mechanism of a door capable of being easily operated and preventing a part of the door from being caught between the door and the peripheral edge of an opening part closed by the door. SOLUTION: This intermediate position locking mechanism can lock a vertically rotatable semi-lift door 20 in an intermediate position between a full open position and a full close position. The mechanism comprises a stay 54 having one end 54a fitted to the door 20 and the other end 54b positioned on the door rotating center side of one end 54a and pivotally supported on a soundproof box body 10 at a fixed position, a guide member for detachably connecting one end 54a of the stay 54 to the door, and an energizing means 60 for gas cylinder and others for energizing the door in opening direction against the weight of the door 20 when at least the door 20 is positioned at the intermediate position. The guide member 51 comprises a guide groove 52 for guiding one end 54a of the stay 54. The stay end 54a restricts the movement length of the door in the direction of the rotating center P by the end part 52a of the guide groove 52 so that the rotation of the door 20 in opening direction can be locked at the intermediate position.
