PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for dental impression material eliminating disadvantage of a conventional dental impression material such as sensitivity to sulfur impurities or the like. SOLUTION: The composition for dental impression material includes at least a kind of polymerizable oligomer and (or) polymer functionalized with groups curable by ring opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP), an inorganic dental filler for dental use and a ruthenium carbene complex catalyst, whereby the catalyst initiates ring-opening metathesis polymerization of the composition.
