PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass-containing conductor suitable for a glass magnetic disk-holding member and a glass-containing composition for producing the same. SOLUTION: The glass-containing composition for the conductor consists of 30-60% of a glass powder; 40-70% of an inorganic powder (preferably a tin oxide powder doped with antimony) having a specific resistance ofρ≤1×10<SP>4</SP>Ω-cm and a melting point of≥600°C; and 0-10% of an inorganic powder havingρ>1×10<SP>4</SP>Ω-cm, by mass percent. The glass powder comprises SiO<SB>2</SB>: 45-70%, Li<SB>2</SB>O+Na<SB>2</SB>O+K<SB>2</SB>O: 10-25%, MgO+CaO+SrO+BaO: 10-30%, Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>: 1-10%.
