<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a reversible heat sensitive recording medium, which has high security and the invisible information of which can be rewritably recorded. <P>SOLUTION: In this reversible heat sensitive recording medium, a heat sensitive recording layer 12 including thermotropic cholesteric liquid crystal covered with a protective layer 15 is provided on a base material 11. The state showing selective reflection on the light in the invisible wavelength region of a near infrared wavelength region or of a near ultraviolet wavelength region of the recording layer 12 can be fixed in the neighborhood of a room temperature. As the recording layer 12, one, which shows selective reflection on the light in the visible wavelength region, may be employed. Further, the recording layer showing selective reflection on the light in the invisible wavelength region/a recording part and the recording layer showing selective reflection on the light in the visible wavelength region/the recording part may be provided in multiple layers/one and the same layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
