PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide improved technique for detecting ocean gas symptoms. SOLUTION: In the method for detecting ocean gas symptoms, a local probe is arranged on or near the ocean floor, bubbles are generated in the water near or in the local probe, the bubbles are detected, and data showing the relative concentration of gas that is dissolved into the water are generated.
