PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To noiselessly and smoothly conduct the removal works of a joint for a bridge while removing the joint so as to easily repair a floor slab after a cutting. SOLUTION: Triangular sectional rails 2 are fixed on both sides of the joint 9 buried and fixed to the floor slab for the bridge by an anchor by anchor bolts. The angle of the inclined plane 21 of the rail 2 is set in 50°to a vertical line, a cutting device 1 with a cutter blade 11 is made to travel ion the inclined planes, the floor slab 10 is cut obliquely and cutting grooves are formed on both sides of the joint 9 at every two. A plurality of flatly formed sheet-shaped water-pressure expansion plates are installed along the cutting grooves in the cutting grooves, and the expansion plates are expanded by forwarding pressure water and the floor slab is floated along the cutting grooves and removed.
