PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user inside a vehicle (a crew member inside the vehicle) to know whether intrinsic information regarding a facility exists or not inside a database in a base station, and to select and acquire information regarding a necessary facility. SOLUTION: The car navigation system 1 mounted on the vehicle 20 transmits to the base station 30 retrieval request information inquiring whether the intrinsic information (CM information) 40 regarding the facility exists or not inside the database (CM-information database 31) in the base station 30. The base station 30 in compliance with its inquiry retrieves whether the intrinsic information regarding the facility exists or not inside the database, and it transmits a retrieved result to the system 1. The system 1 receives, and refers to, the retrieved result, and, when the intrinsic information regarding the facility exists inside the database, the existence of the intrinsic information is displayed on a display means at the system 1.
