PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recorder in which a platen can be soaked sufficiently with flushed dense ink, and a flushing method of an ink jet recorder. SOLUTION: In the ink jet recorder 10, a recording head 11 is disposed on the outside of a recording sheet 13 before edgeless printing is performed on the recording sheet 13 by moving the recording head 11 along a guide shaft 12 and ejecting ink from the recording head 11, and then dense inks 14B, 14D and 14F and light inks 14C, 14E and 14G are flushed from the recording head 11 to a platen 15. The recording head 11 flushes the light inks 14C, 14E and 14G at a second flushing position P2 on the dense inks 14B, 14D and 14F flushed at a first flushing position P1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
