PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of stably making a lithographic printing plate free from precipitation of a titanocene-based photopolymerization initiator in a plate face protective liquid even for a long-term treatment and thereby free from contamination during printing. SOLUTION: The method for making the lithographic printing plate is carried out by subjecting a photosensitive lithographic printing plate having a photopolymerizable photosensitive layer containing a titanocene compound as a photopolymerization initiator to image-wise exposure, and by developing and treating with the plate face protective liquid containing soybean polysaccharides.
