PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable whose jacket hardly falls in grooves of a spacer accompanying it's shrink and whose internally stored coated optical fibers is hardly caused to increase in transmission loss and hardly jump out of grooves as the optical fibers which internally has a spacer provided with grooves for storing the coated optical fibers in the outer circumference. SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable which has an SZ type spiral groove 2 in the outer circumference of the spacer 1 and also has a plurality of ribbons of coated optical fibers 3 stacked in the groove 2 is characterized by that the width of a groove opening part 11 in cross section of the groove 2 is narrower than the width of a groove center part 12 in it and equal to or wider than the width of the ribbons of the coated optical fibers 3.
