PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas aspiration device capable of solving the deficiencies that a conventional gas aspiration device has a complicated structure and requires a large number of parts, long-hour maintenance and a high cost, and that accurate measurement is spoiled by fluctuation of an aspiration flow rate caused by clogging of a piping system or the like, concerning the gas aspiration device for aspirating airflow into a test tube capable of detecting the concentration in order to measure the diffusion state of a gas discharged into the airflow in a wind tunnel. SOLUTION: This gas aspiration device comprises a liquid vessel provided with a pumping and drainage means for changing the internal liquid level, a cylindrical gas aspiration pod having an open bottom face and installed in the liquid vessel, for generating a negative pressure inside at the liquid level lowering time, and a piping system for connecting the aspiration pod to the inside of the test tube, aspirating the air in the test tube by the negative pressure in the aspiration pod, and generating the negative pressure capable of aspirating the airflow in the wind tunnel. Hereby, the deficiencies of the conventional device can be removed, and trace gas concentrations at many measuring points can be measured over a long times. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
