METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SYNTHESIZING SODIUM COBALT OXIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for synthesizing a sodium cobalt complex oxide fine crystal which has good crystallinity and superior in formability/sinterability. SOLUTION: The method for synthesizing a crystalline sodium cobalt oxide is characterized by exposing a sodium medium and a cobalt medium in a hydrothermal reaction or a super critical water reaction. An apparatus for synthesizing the crystalline sodium cobalt oxide is equipped with a hydrothermal reactor or a super critical water reactor and a means to feed the sodium medium and the cobalt medium to the reactor.
