PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for personal ornaments in which surface oxidation is suppressed when casting personal ornaments composed of a gold alloy and resultantly the casting surface of the personal ornaments taken out of gypsum molds can be provided with a good finish and accordingly a polishing step can be simplified. SOLUTION: This material for personal ornaments, incorporates beryllium- copper into the gold alloy. The incorporation of beryllium-copper into the gold alloy can effectively prevent surface oxidation at casting and provide a good finish to the casting surface. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
